How Our Partnership Unfolds

At HC Remodel & Design, design and construction work together under one roof. The same team that helps shape the vision for your home is responsible for bringing it to life, creating a more connected experience from the first conversation through the final walkthrough. Along the way, you’ll have a clear understanding of what’s happening, what comes next, and how your investment is being managed.
Our role is to carry the weight of the details so you can stay focused on the decisions that matter most. Here’s how the process unfolds, step by step.
Our Design-Build Process
Connect
Everything begins with a simple, no-pressure conversation, typically lasting 10 to 15 minutes. We’ll learn what you’re hoping to change, answer your questions about the design-build process, and determine together whether HC Remodel & Design is the right fit for your project. There’s nothing to prepare and no commitment required.
Simply reach out, and a member of our team will be in touch within two business days.
In-Home Consultation
Next, we visit your home to experience the space firsthand and better understand how you live. We’ll talk through what is working, what you would like to change, and the vision you have for the finished space. During this visit, we’ll also discuss a realistic investment range based on the scope of your project.
This gives you meaningful numbers early and a clear understanding of what partnering with HC Remodel & Design looks like before moving forward.
Design Agreement & Design
When you're ready to move forward, we begin with a Design Agreement, our contract for the design and estimating work. We then measure and photograph every detail, and our design team develops your plan into drawings, 3D renderings, and a virtual walkthrough of the finished space. We refine it together until it feels exactly right.
You never have to imagine the outcome, because you'll see it long before a single wall moves.
Firm Price Proposal
With the design finalized, we bring in our trusted trade partners to price each part of the work in detail. Then we sit down with you to review the full proposal, so you understand exactly where your investment is going before construction begins. This is not a preliminary estimate.
Our firm price proposals have historically finished within 10% of the final project cost, reflecting the care that goes into planning before we build. You’ll know what your project includes, what it costs, and why, with clear expectations from the start.
Design Selections
Choosing tile, fixtures, cabinetry, flooring, and countertops should feel exciting, not overwhelming. Our design team guides you through a curated selection process, helping you make choices that align with both the overall design and your established investment.
Once selections are finalized, we take care of the details behind the scenes, including pricing, ordering, and delivery coordination. You get to enjoy choosing the finishes that make the space feel like yours while our team manages everything required to bring them together.
Construction
Before construction begins, our team walks you through the schedule, site logistics, and what to expect while work is underway. On demolition day, we protect the surrounding home with plastic barriers and HEPA filtration to help control dust and disruption.
Throughout construction, you can follow progress through our project management app, stay informed on what is happening next, and reach our team whenever needed. We manage the details behind the scenes so you can watch your home take shape with confidence.
Project Celebration
After the final details are complete, we close the project with a relaxed Project Celebration, an opportunity to enjoy the transformation, reflect on your experience, and hear your thoughts on the journey. It is a simple but meaningful way to mark the end of the project and celebrate a home that is finally yours to enjoy.
